| The Sea Cadets were established in order to give young people instruction on a navel theme. Traditionally seafarers provided training while local businesspeople funded the Unit Headquarters. This tradition continues and the Sea Cadet Unit works in partnership with the Royal Navy under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The core purpose of the Sea Cadets is to celebrate Britain’s maritime heritage and contribute to its future development by supporting young people as Sea Cadets. |
