What is it about?

Royal Voluntary Service is one of the largest voluntary organisations in the country. Our volunteers help older people stay active and independent by providing practical and emotional support at home. We can help older people to get out and about to socialise which prevents them from becoming socially isolated in the community. Volunteer drivers provide transport for older people to attend hospital appointments and any other appointment.

We can visit at home for company and a chat, help with shopping , change a light bulb or deliver library books.

Volunteers help with lunch and social clubs throughout the area.
