The Perth Golf Memories group is a community-led project to improve the lives of people living with dementia and age-related memory conditions. It is aimed at those who have played golf at some time in their lives but who may no longer manage to get round a golf course anymore. The group offers participants the opportunity to hit some golf balls at the undercover driving range supported by an experienced golf professional and a dedicated team of volunteers; there is also the opportunity to do some putting on the all-weather putting green and finally, an opportunity to socialise with other participants and volunteers and reminisce about golf days gone by. This group takes place in a friendly supportive environment and new members are always welcome. We would also welcome interest from golf clubs in other areas of Perth and Kinross who may wish to consider starting a similar group.
